Well the parts store's around me are stuck in the late 70's and stock no metric studs at all. But the ACE hardware right next door has a great selection I just bought some for a G3 cost like $4 for studs and nuts

You can get them from Ford, you do have to buy a bag of four:

N811-284-S101 STUD M10X1.5X1.5X73. Exhaust stud $6.94 $4.09
N800-152-S2 NUT M10X1.5 HEX FLG Exhaust stud nut $2.74 $1.61

Prices are each for stud/nut. 1st price is list price. Second is price at online Ford parts dealer.

You can buy them in singles if your dealer has them in stock.

You can get them from Strauss Auto Discount. Order them online. I started a thread on this about a month or so ago when I needed some.

It's called the Help Exhaust ****** Hardware Kit

Part Number 03132

whelp while removing my ypipe from the headers one of my bolts just broke off and it looks bad. I dont see how the bolt itself separates from the header piece. Cause i was turning all the nuts by themselves with my impact and not even having to hold the top bolt. So do they just knock out or do i have to drill it out or what ?

has a lot of corrosion is part of the problem. Sprayed some Teflon **** on there to break them lose but 1 of them broke off. It was pretty rusted up.

i'll pick up a complete new set but how do i get the old one off

The studs are threaded into the exhaust manifold. You can drill and attempt to remove the remains with a bolt extractor or drill and re-tap. Another option is to take the manifold off and have an automotive machine shop take care of it. Not a good idea to use impact tools on old rusted fasteners. Back and forth coaxing with hand tools and lots of penetrating oil works better.

I got some from Auto Zone in the "HELP!" section. You know the company that makes all the hard to find little plastic clips that we all break.

Doug,
Are you referring to the MTX Spring Kit Josh has listed on his website? He lists that kit (PF4F), in addition to the Ford OE exhaust studs and nuts:

V6 MTX Spring Kit (bolts/springs/nuts/split ******/donut gasket) PF4F 29.54
V6 Exhaust Studs (4) N811-284-S101 27.76 27.76
V6 Exhaust Stud Nuts (4) N800-152-S2

The best ones you can get are from www.shonutperformance.com - he has a stainless steel set with bolts and all. Made for the SHO. They will never rust or break again.....if your replacing them might as well get the good stuff.

No, that is not what I am referring to. I just searched his website - it had been awhile since I had been there. I had done my motor swap 2 years ago, and I haven't had much need to do much to her since then.

He *used* to sell a stainless steel exhaust manifold kit, for bolting the Y-pipe to the exhaust manifold. It was a kit he made himself, with a stud and a bolt welded to it that fit into the manifold and then a washer and bold to bolt the Y-pipe to the manifold. It was a great kit, he sold it for $20 I think. It has been on my SHO for 2 years, and dispite a bit of dirt, look just the way they did when I bought them. Sad he doesn't sell it anymore. Maybe an inquiry to Josh would yield an answer.

But I'm tired of dealing with the rust - I want stainless steel manifold studs, if they're available ! ! !
