My 94 3.2L needs one; I got a call back from the shop today- they called 16 places; no master cylinders. Not only that, but I was told they don't make them anymore. One dealer had one, but for some insane reason wanted $495!!!!! Does anyone know where I can get one?

OK, found the master cylinder, but my big hunt started when I needed the reservoir. A friend asked a Ford dealer to check out their "master computer," and, supposedly, the last one in the country was found in Kansas! Thanks for the help!!!

You won't find one from Ford. I think Advance Auto has them but I'm not too sure on the quality. You might even find one at Rock Auto.

May help if you post in the Wanted To Buy section! More people may see it than here and someone may have one.

Don't buy a used master cylinder, and they do make them. www.rockauto.com and check the main page on the forum here for the discount code. Oh and you'll want the resbestos (SP)?? one i think it is. Whatever brand has a 12mm primary, and a 10mm secondary. If you get one with 10 and 10 that's the SLO master even though it will bolt up to a sho. Oh and rock auto has them labeled wrong, says its for the sho, but its really a 10/10 not a 12/10 like it should be so be careful unless you enjoy less braking power.;)

I just did all new brakes in it and after I bleeded the shit out of it I finally got a firm pedal for the first time since I bought it in 2003 and it still doesn't stop that well. Right now it has 11.6 in the front and rear centric rotors and hawk pads at the front and rear with new Yokahama all season tires. I also replaced the bias vavle last year. Now I have a 94 ATX I just bought with ****** tires but I put Brembo cross drilled in the front (stock size rotor) with Motorcraft super duty pads and it out stops my 95 ATX.

You probably have a SLO master cylinder, most places do not have the SHO one. It's pretty hard to find and 95% of people don't even know there is a difference, parts places included. They just sell the SLO as a SHO master and people are never the wiser because everything works just fine.

The last MC i got was from Napa back in 02. I bench bleed the MC before I installed it and gravity bleed all the brakes. Im sure Napa still has them.
