The first SHO i saw was 6 years ago at my cousins grad party. A family member from his dad's side(i'm from his mom's side of the family) came in a red gen2 MTX.:dribble: We were all in the parking lot looking at it when he left and he laid a 3ft strip of rubber in 2nd.

first sho i saw was in kindergarden (13 years ago) when my friends mom had one, i always like the look of it. it was a red 92 with stick, i remember my dad talking to them about it and peering over the front end to look under the hood, i was so small then it was hard to see lol. Ever since i've always loved the look of them, and always kinda wanted one in the back of my mind. Don't have many memorys but i do remember that car.

1988; in my dad's garage. I still remember the smell...you know...the product of burning rubber and burning clutch. I only plowed through one corner(bent subframe) and got only one ticket (pled down to attempted reckless)...don't ask.

I was driving my 1988 LX 5.0
I had read about the SHO and knew exactly what it was and what it could do. I wasn't in a position to run him...but when he pulled away from the red light, I was pretty impressed. I had respect for them from that day forward. :salute:

Flash forward to 2001....Co-worker is thinking of selling his 1993 Black on Black 5-speed. I had my eye on this car for a couple of years and bought it immediately. I drove the pants off of that one for a couple of years and sold it for the 1997 TR that I still have.
SHO's are cool cars! :thumb:

In high school (1995) my friends father, who worked for Ford, leased one for cheap due to the v8 coming out. well, guess who got to drive it to school everyday. My friend and i would skip school, wash it and go crusing for hours and on weekends. we broke that engine in like you wouldn't believe. From that day on i fell in love with it and every couple years i would check to see how much they were selling for. skip forward to 2004, i bought a 93 silver atx and then just last year i bought a white 95 mtx. i love my sho and i will own it till the day i pass it on to my son. Unless jay leno calls me and offers me $250 000 for it :)

A customer at the bank where I used to work would come through the drive-up window with his green Gen 2 mtx. I couldn't figure out what was up with a Taurus having a stick shift. I asked my nephew and best friend and they informed me a little about SHOs. That would have been around 1995.
