I took the centercaps off a '87 Ford Mustang LX and put them on the slicers. What a difference!!

They are machined aluminum which give it a nice shine and are very slighlty rounded outwards which really changes the appearance of the slicer.;)

Wow...I REALLY like those. I like the slicers better than any aftermarket rim anyway, and that makes them look WAY better.

Does Ford still sell those new? Or is a parts-car the best bet?

They sure do! Also, wouldn't the center caps off the LX model SLO wheels work as well?

So do your new center caps snap on in the same manner as the SHO center caps?

Not sure if Ford will sell them new, even so that'd be expensive. A parts car will work if you can find it. I'm not really sure if the SLO's centers would work, the way they are machined finished may differ.

I'm not so sure about them, It kinda looks odd with only the center machined and the rest not, although if the entire Slicer had the machined look I'm not sure if that would look good either.I'm not a bigg fan of the chrome slicers, anyway :thumb: I love to see somone trying to be different.

I like 'em.

While we're on the subject of wheels, are yours (SHODZZL) buffed? They look extra shiny and smooth.

Has anybody ever buffed a slicer?

the wheels are not buffed(polished) They are actually in OK condition, baked on brake dust and such

are those caps off a "phone dialer" mustang rim?

If your talking about the 10 holes then yes.

Also, I think if you painted your wheels Black with those center caps it would give you a bad ass police cruiser kind of look.:thumb:
