The topic says it all. I had a new hub assembly installed back in october and the bearing is already bad. I noticed the wheel sitting kind of crooked, so I took everything apart. Once i got the wheel off, I could move everything. eek! What might have caused this? The car is sitting until monday and I can take it to the shop.

Sorry, it is the front drivers side. They replaced the whole hub assembly. I had the same shop to the pass side about 1 1/2 months ago and am kinda worried....

If they replaced the hub AND bearing, the only thing I can think of is they did not properly torque the bearing retainer nut.

If they only replaced the hub and did not replace the bearing.... (shaking head)...

Unless one or both of the bearings were damaged or faulty, as projectSHO89 stated, it was probably an incorrect torque on the critical hub nut.
