Hey guys, i need a little help identifying this part so that I can find a replacement. It keeps slipping off and I can't shift. It is beneath the car near the oil pan. The rubber bushing thing.

Here's a picture:

The name of that part is "Reason For Rod Shifter Upgrade".

Edit: /smarta$$
It's not available individually. The cable itself is long discontinued but it's E9DZ-7W051-A

If you want to see a larger version of the picture go to fordpartsgiant.com and drill down to the right model.

Rod Shifter Parts - For Reference OnlyNut for shifter support, N801-555-S2. Resonator, F1DZ-5A289-C. Cable Shifter Parts. Fore/aft Cable, E9DZ-7W051-A. Right/left Cable, E9DZ-7A477-A.

That is the last cable shifter repair part we need to offer at SHOsource.com

It very rarely fails, so it has not been high on my "to-do" list since there is not much demand. That said, I have all the parts to make a repair kit. If you would like to document the installation with pictures, we can make you a great deal on the prototype. Email me at mike AT shosource DOT com for more information.

Thanks

Mike

Here's a clip that I think I got from shonut about 8 years ago. Works great. I'm sure one could be fabbed up pretty easily.
