What's the latest word on ATX to MTX swap?

Just wondering. Read posts about guys who were in process of doing this. (I find myself day dreaming about rotating the engine 90 degrees, having a street rod fabricator put in a tunnel, bolting in a five or six speed with a Cobra IRS in the rear... all it takes is $$$$$)

You would absolutely hate this car. No cruise, no sunroof. No power windows or power door locks, no air conditioning or climate control. (it does have a heater, though) no radio (Radios are worthless, since there is also no sound deadening material in the body, you couldn't hear one anyway.) 3.89 gears with no overdrive, 3500 RPM at 70 MPH. all kinds of clunks from the over ride traction bars, going around a corner at slow speeds is a real trip, apply any power when the wheels are turned and both rear wheels lock up due to the Detroit locker. The car runs like crap until it's warmed up, the choke system on the crab is a joke at best.
No, I wouldn't subject a fellow SHO owner to this type of punishment. wink

It`s dead in the water.Gary found a cheap Gen II MTX,and i believe dropped the project.But,if you want to do the swap yourself,he has everything needed except the subframe,which i can put you in contact with one.Try a few posts or e-mails.

I have a complete 93 MTX parts car, and when the day comes that my ATX craps out, I'm gonna convert it to a 3.2 MTX monster.

Anyone wanna give me some 3.0 intake cams for a pair of 3.2 heads?
