Whats the best ATX fliuid???

What kind is the best, and where can I pick it up at? Is Durablend ATF any good? or should I go full synthetic?

If i had the money I'd get redline, but since I don't and my friend works at ford I just get whatever he gets me

Ford suggests you use DexonIII-Mercon. I've heard great things about Redline Synthetic. Supposedly, it makes your transmission shift better, quicker, etc. However, the effect wears off after about a year.

Valvoline also has transmission fluid formulated specifically for high mileage transmissions. Maybe you could check that out too?

I have used Redline in the tranny/diff every car and motorcycle I've driven for an extended period and will not use anything else.

If you call Redline they are very helpful and will tell you exactly what to use but from their web site either their Synthetic ATF or their D4 (Which they rec. for the MTX) should work and meet all the required specs.

i just got my tranny flushed today (changed the filter and gasket last week)

i really does seem to shift smoooooother.

i paid 8 bucks a quart at a local parts store that was willing to match spmotorsports price.
(saved the shipping / paid sales tax)

if it makes the tranny shift better and possibly last longer it's worth it.

I'm a bit partial to B&M Trick Shift synthetic fluid thumbs_u it's about $4 a quart.
