what to do about p0136

this code has popped up.. p0136

P0136 - HO2S Sensor Circuit Malfunction (HO2S-12) The downstream HO2S sensor(s) are continuously checked for maximum and minimum voltages. The code will set when the voltages fail to meet the calibrated limits. · Disconnected sensor
· Pinched, shorted, corroded wiring or pins
· Crossed sensor wires
· Exhaust leaks
· Contaminated or damaged sensor
· Chafed/damaged wiring

i can hear my exhaust leak. really right now far as i know the sensor could have fell out...

just lookin for a opion

That is the rear after cat O2. It does not have any affect on engine performance. But it sounds like it died.

you say its the one rear one.. ... i have replaced the upstream one on the rear pipe already you say its the downstream??? let me know please and thanks

Yes downstream means after cat. HeatedOxygen2Sensor b1s2.

Oxygen 2 is diatomic Oxygen or two molecules of Oxygen bonded together, as it is found it it's natural balanced state.

you confused me with this...

i was also lookin over autozones site.. they show a few sensor.. now does it make a diff if the sensor is for upstream and i to use for a downstream??? because when i bought my first one i had bought the cheapest one..... on there site is shows that sensor as a downstream.. i think it got used for a up stream think that would case any issues..

They aren't too expensive off eBay. NGK NTK are the OEM ones. Do a search on Ebay for NGK NTK O2s listed for Fords. ~ $35-40 IIRC.

They aren't too expensive off eBay. NGK NTK are the OEM ones. Do a search on Ebay for NGK NTK O2s listed for Fords. ~ $35-40 IIRC.

now if i bought the wrong one would they still have the same plugs? so that there is no way of telling? the one i bought was a bosch

why are the called universal if they aint lol..

good thing i still have the box for that o2 sensor i throw nothing away.. lol


well the sensor i installed was a 13133 i just dont know for sure were i installed it idk if its the downsteam from bank 2 or is it was the upstream for the bank 1
i just know the one i changed was a pita to change
well could that cause my issue?

well since i did only take a quick look i was wrong it is the right one the one i changed was the bank1 sensor2 its the only one diff from the ones that look stock.
