My 99 sho just got a ding Im guessing froms some careless idiot on the driver side rear door,I guess parking out in the middle of nowhere in parking lots does not help.Anyway the ding is right on top of the door where the door starts to come out.Its about 2".My question is has anyone had paintless ding removal done?I know how its done but does it work and how much does it cost?Im gonna lose sleep over this  thanks

I had a bad ding on my 2000 cougar, cost to fix was $540. But this was on the hard style line in the door where it's hard to get anything in there to fix it. The dint you're talkin about is probly the same issue but should be less because it's not as hard to make it round agian. Mine also had to be repianted, if they have to hammer on it most likely the piant will chip or crack on it will have to be repianted.

If there is no crease in the metal, on the door areas it is fairly easy to remove the inner door parts and get to the back side of the metal. You can then very gently just push the dented in section back out, often to the point where you cannot see it easily from the outside. However, if they metal has creased or the paint cracked, this is only the start of the fix and further body and paint work will be required. But sometimes you get lucky.
