What is those silver looking tabs on top of the head of the engine? It's round and seems like you need to use an allen wrench to take it off or tighten it. If it's sticking up do all I have to do is push it back down and tighten it? Also on the head gasket, are they metal or what?

I believe those are what hold the Head Covers on, correct me if I'm wrong. If they are loose, then you should tighten them.

Oh okay...thanks! One more question, is the head gasket located under that where I have to tighten those bolts up at? And is the valve cover right on top of the engine where those tubes are going all over the top of the engine?

THe head gasket is located between the head and the engine block. The gasket you a referring to is the Valve cover gasket. The big thing on top with all of the tubes is you're intake manifold.

The valve cover gaskets are rubber. Make sure when you change your head gasket to clean it all. Wouldnt be a bad idea to have the head checked out, since your taking it off. If you are changing your valve covers you'll need intake gaskets as well.

Be careful torqueing those 5mm Allen headed, chrome plated valve cover bolts. The torque spec on those is 8-11 lb-ft and you can exceed that value with the twist from one finger. Twisting too hard can result in stripped threads in the aluminum head or snapped valve cover bolts. Neither is a good thing.
