What is the best stuff out there to keep the door handle and side mirrors black not the dull grey that they always seem to be?

The best thing to do is too repaint them. Nothing is going to make them stay black, rare plastic fades really quick. If you paint them they should last alot longer.

Sound weird but it worked for me and still does.

I had just used a foaming tire shine and was wiping away the excess from my rims with a shop rag. I took it to the door handle and man did it clean it right up and it was black again.

Mine were like grey and I have an all black car. I sprayed some on a rag then really worked it on the door handle. I do this to the window seals and the rear glass trim. It really works great, just spray a small amount on a clean cloth rag and work it into the handle...don't spray it on the handle.

Just my detail tip...

I use the tire foam on my wheels, fender liners and entire engine compartment too.

boink After a cleaning I use it on my engine bay and it looks great. Just spray and let it sit for 5 and wipe off excess.

Back in Michigan ... again.
The side mirrors can simply be polished back to a shine. Yes it's plastic but you would be surprised what you can do with a good polish. A very light, clearcoat safe compound works the best, or you can use the Meguiars cleaner wax. You'll get the best shine if you have a high-speed polisher handy, an orbital polisher will also work and even just applying the polish by hand will give you decent results, just be prepared to use a bit of elboy grease.

The black plastic door handles are different..they're pourus and cannot be polished. Armor all will make them black for a little while, but it will fade in a few days. Aside from that I'm not sure what else to do with those.

Try some Forever Black. It comes in a shoe polish type applicator. I have used it on many of my cars and it lasts a long time. It is great on porous materials because it is a dye. Goes for about 9 bucks a bottle.

If you want a cheaper route try some Kiwi sho and leather dye. I think it works even better then the Forever Black and is about 2 bucks a bottle.

I used Formula 2001 on all of my black parts. It does wonders and lasts along time. AND it has the UV protectant in it to boot. Use it on a rag and wipe it on. Just don't get it on the paint. 1) Not good for paint 2) leaves smear marks.

I even use it to spice up the hoses and plastic under the hood. Its worth the extra time and patiences.
