I've got a set of rod bearings on the shelf for my 95 you're welcome to. Just replace them when yours come in.

Brian,

Glad you made it back up the hill okay. You've got a couple of great kids there also.

And about the racing... might as well post this before Mikey does because his head's going to be sooooo swolen. He beat The Other Woman in the quarter mile with the rust bucket...err, I mean his Mother Nature lightened white Gen one. Yep, I sat at the starting line, spinning in first and even second getting seriously sideways, while Mikey just accelerated away at about .05 G's. I finally got it to hook up in third but by then he had about 85' on me. I wound out third and almost caught him, as I was shifting into fourth as we went across the line.

I'm sure after he's done posting it all over the internet, that he'll chime in with the times. :hail: Mikey

My 16.0 at 89 vs Tom's 16.2 at 95, and I'm not going to let Tom forget it....and when Jason posts the vids, no one on the forum will forget it either. Worse drags ever. The only redeeming quality of the day was the fact I beat Tom.

Second race: My 16.0 vs Toms 14.0. Launching was hard. The track had a slight downhill slope at the starting line, so the car would roll forward while you were trying to launch the MTX. I was 1/2 way out of the staging lights as the tree was counting down. To keep from redlighting I had to keep my foot on the brake.

Horrid race.

Dooleyville is just........Awesome! It's what I've allways pictured my Garage / Pull Barn to be.( I have property in Ohio, with a pull barn ) I'll have to make do just making my garage Dooleyville Jr.,LOL. Even my Son was impressed! ( That's a hard sell to a 17 y/o that's been around cars all of his life ) Thank you, Tom, for the kind words about my kids....My wife and I try.....hard, lol.

We need to get SHOCal and AZSHO together for a "Twisties" run up 89 into Prescott. Have lunch at my place, Firebird that night, Crash at Dooleyville ( as long as Mitzy and Tom don't object..(You notice who's name came first??lol ) Then some "maintenance" before everyone heads home. Sound ok with you, Tom???

Eric.....Help me out here, Go-Karting!!...LOL I figure the SHOCAl/AZSHO meet will take some time....But....Go-Karting!!! LOL

Tom, Mike, Eric, Troy, Jason, Nick, Dean, and anyone I forgot.....( I was a "bit" awestruck...lol ) It was great meeting all of you. Let's do what we can to get these, and other's going!

I'm always up for a road trip but there is a better SHO caliber way to Prescott. Take Grand ave (US 60) to Wickenburg, right on 93, bear right onto 89 up Yarnell hill, continue up through White Spar pass and then down into Prescott.

From Prescott we would take 89A to Jerome, Cottonwood and Sedona and finally into Flaggstaff. From Flaggstaff we would take the Lake Mary road to the 260 and take that to Strawberry, Pine and Payson. It's 2hr and 20 minutes from Payson back to Dooleyville.

Most of this trip would be at the higher elevations so it would be cool.

Not that I this planned out or anything like that. I even know where all of the Chilli's resturants are along the way.

, Firebird that night,

I'm not going back to that place. 27.00 entry, 5.50 hamburgers, and you get 2 runs and a yelling at from Col Sanders in the Staging lanes just wasnt my cup of tea. The 40 min drive to Surprize makes for a much funner time and laid back track.

Yeah it turned out we went there on the wrong night. Friday night was their test and tune night; unlimited runs for 17.00 entry. I don't care to go back there either.

I can see/understand the drawbacks....but....my kids and I still enjoyed the day/night ( make the Best of what you've got..is what they've, and me, have been taught/learned..lol..). We'll do it better next time...lol We Truly enjoyed our day! Check out the Vid., and Pic's from SHOCal's meet ( www.officialshocal.com ). It was cool both AZSHO and SHOCal had a meet on the same day/time!!!

Just got into work to write this. It's nice finally putting faces to names, and names to faces. I had a good time for my first time at the drags. I just wish that there could have been more racing for our guys.

I just got back into Denver late last night and I'm still beat from the drive. :)

It was great seeing all of you guys again and even getting to meet some of the newer faces too! I had a good time, sorry I couldn't spend some more time just hanging out with the club. I'll plan another trip where it'll envolve me being able to work on and talk cars for a long time.

As far as the video.... Hehe... I can post it, but if Tom doesn't want me to, I won't. It's in your hands now Tom :).

Also, when you guys go out to the drags again, let me know. My dad wants to run his car now.

Jason, here's the vid of a lap on the Firebird road course. It's easy to see where the quarter mile ends on the straight because the rubber stops. We stay on the throttle for quite a bit longer...

Fast lap at Firebird.
