hey got a question. i have a 95 mtx with a squeal/squeak, almost like something is rubbing when i turn the wheel to the left. Now i know that it makes noise if you hold the wheel in one spot when you turn but this is while I turn, and its much louder. It's been doin this for about a week. Also when i stop suddenly and the car noses down and then comes back up. Right as it comes back up it does the same sqeal/squeak.
I've searched the forums a few times and it has given me some vauge ideas as to what it might be. Just wondering if anyone else has something they wanna throw in. Thanx

From the info you provided, check the bushings, LCA, strut mount, sway bar, etc on the left side. If the car is diving down and to the left and squealing it might be the swaybar or a torn bushing....do a visual inspection, I bet you will notice something wrong immediately. Does this noise sound like the classic "power steering squeal" or is it just a metal-on-metal sound? If it's actually coming from the power steering unit, check the inner and outer tie rods (squeeze the boot with your fingers and try to "feel" any looseness in the joint) and also do a visual inspection for leaks, etc. Also check out the power steering mounts....
