Under medium brake pressure my brakes will work fine then i feel something pushing real hard against my foot and push my foot back. This can't be normal abs function, whats going on and am i going to lose my brakes sometime when i need them?

sounds like the typical response when the abs kicks in. (which it should not do under medium braking pressure, unless your definition of medium is way different from mine...)

do you have any abs codes? there is a sticky thread on how to pull them, iirc.

If it's the ABS it makes a distinctive sound and vibrates. You know when the ABS activates, it was one of the owner complaints on Gen I and II cars.

Is this something that is 'lived with'... or diagnosed rather easy?
