Could be just from the view in the picture but it looks like the mat is to long over on the left where you rest your foot, it appears to ride up that foot rest, is this true, I mean it's a little hard to tell if the mat is raised in that area, but I would hope they can fit them better than that?

I looked at that spot closely. The mat doesn't really overlap the foot rest pad enough to call it a poor fit. I would say you want the mat to rise up a little to keep stuff from working its way underneath it. Overall, the general fit is acceptable. My main concern was covering the carpet area underneath the pedals. The mats though are overpriced IMO. The floor is an odd shape so you can't use a universal mat, what 'cha gonna do? Vendors take advantage of car guys because they are passionate about their vehicles.

I have these for my SHO and my wife's Corvette Vert. They are great. The company is OK to deal with. I originally bought a different set off their website for the Vette. Those were not made specifically for the Vette but this was unclear on their website. They agreed to exchange them but wanted me to pay for the shipping one way. I refused because the website was unclear. The person on the phone basically blamed me for not reading that SOME mats for SOME cars are actually not designed for those cars and that I should have called them. Well, I finally spoke with a supervisor who was great. She agreed the website was unclear and made the change for this model mat. They paid shipping both ways and I paid the difference in the price of the mats. These are so good, I bought them for my SHO as well and I am really happy. All's well that ends well. So buyer beware and make sure you know what you're buying.

Sometimes you got to make some calls to get things done. I ordered a Baer master cylinder from Summit and they had it on backorder for 6 weeks. I finally called Baer and they said it was available. Called Summit, told them what Baer said and I got it 2 days later.

Pony thanks for the pics of your Lloyds Mats. I like them a lot. Probably order a set for myself. I have the Ford Accessory mats in my car. Not so great. OE Carpet mats are still in the bag.

I had Husky Liners in my Five Hundred. While they're nice and protect the carpet well, I still prefer to have carpet on the floors. I'll get some lloyds and use those. Keep the OEM mats in the trunk.

It costs a lot of money to not only correctly design the mat to exactly fit the floor mat, but to mill a new die out of steel or aluminum (to say nothing of material costs). Making new tool dies like that costs a heluva lot of money, and they have to recoup that cost somehow. Also, since all of their operations are in the US, labor costs are higher. But that's the price you pay for national pride. Is it worth it to you, or would you rather send your money off to China?

Point taken. I still bought them. It really is a shame, we're not building anything here anymore.

wchain, you're welcome. Let us know how the ebony looks.

Adams polishes VRT will give you a matte finish and will get glossy with the more coats you apply.

Picky, picky, picky ;) Good idea of matching the trim on the floormats. Did you get the ebony or black floor mats? I got the black, it's too dark, but what the hay.
