I purchased a new weather strip for the trunk of my SHO. What sort of prep, other than removing the old one, should I do ? What adhesive should I use to hold it down ?

3m makes a weather striping adhesive. I can get it here in Canada, but I don't know where you would look for it. Its a slimey yellow glue in a black tube.LJRuddy said:Not to change topic, but i didnt want to post a new thread with the same question on a different part of the SHO...
Recently, the seal that fits around the driver side door has started to fall off on the A pilar. I can push it back onto the pilar and it will stay for a few days until it falls back down. It has only started with the cold weather. When it falls down, water and everything can get in between the door and the pilar leaving my door and dash wet. Is there a type of glue or something i could use to put it back on corectly? Everyone here that commented about the trunk seal has said that it just pushes onto the metal... That isnt the case here so I am thinking there is a type od adhesive to use. It is in great shape so i dont think i need to buy a new seal.
