Water pump replacement

I have a 2010 SHO with approximately 164K miles. I am considering a water pump replacement as a preventative measure. What is involved? Is this DIY?

What is your skill level and budget? This is one of those--as long as you're in there--jobs. So, if you can afford it, timing set of chains, chain tensioners, maybe phasers etc. If you have enough skill there should be some write ups on this forum and the ecoboost performance forum. Also if this is your daily driver you have to budget in alot of beginners learning curve time. Everything usually takes me much longer the first time through just so I decrease errors and label stuff as it comes off etc.
