Neutral is where 1st,3rd,and 5th usualy sit, only have 2nd, 4th, reverse. Car sounds like **** above 2500 rpms(exhaust looks okay) and my subframe smashed my tranny up pretty good. Dead tranny right?

I have no 1st, 3rd, 5th...obviously

Look no further man... For $200 I will personally come and shoot your tranny!!

J/K :D I'm no expert with tranny's, but I think it may be your linkage not allowing you to get it in the proper gear?? I hope it's not a major tranny problem for you. I've been there "TWICE"

If your sub-frame is smashed, your linkage is no longer in the proper position to properly actuate the transmission internals.

Any diagnosis of the transmission itself would therefore be of very questionable accuracy and such a diagnosis under these conditions should not be made.

Steve:
So what you are saying is the tranny it self MIGHT not be shot, could be just the linkage. The mechanic that checked my car out said the tranny was smashed up pretty good. When it gets nice out, I'll take the engine out and the tranny and then see what the real deal is.
