VVT Solenoid Mount Questions

Alright in a slight pickle right now. Currently installing the VVT solenoid mounting bracket and noticed that the part that slips into the phaser doesn’t really seal all the way around the o ring type seals? Is that normal? I totally goofed and didn’t order a whole new unit and thought I could get away with reusing the old one but this has got making second guesses… It basically just kind of hovers inside and doesn’t really make a full seal despite the seals if that makes any sense.


Are these three seals supposed to be somewhat of a tight fit inside the cam phaser? Because when I put it on it’s loosely glossy.
