I have a vid for you guys to check out. I just did my rod bearing and a full cam swap. i have had this noise before the swap and new bearings, and its still there. its killing me the car feels strong as **** but i want to know what that noise is. i think it might be an injector but i am not sure, my digital camera has a problem with loud noises so keep the volume a respectable level, i havent figured out how to work it yet. you will hear the sound and its not all the time, its a loud ticking noise.... its not as loud as you think, the camera makes it sound louder.

I'm at work and the firewall is preventing me from listening to the sound clip. Where abouts in the engine would you say the noise is coming from?

Wow that's really, really wierd, it sounds like you put a compressore to a freezer back behind your engine. The compressor units at the grocery store i used to work at sound exactly like that. Maybe there's something wrong with on of you pulleys, when my water pump died, it did so with a bang  , and the pulley on it ended up bending and scrapping on the side of the timming belt case just a lil bit. I'm no expert, but I would definetly check to make sure your pulleys have the proper clearance.

Sounds like either something foreign caught in the valve train, or possibly a broken valve spring.

a broken valve spring would cause big problems, my car has just been reshimmed with sizes ranging from 2300 to 2500.... plus it probably wouldnt run with a broken spring
