Is there any place to get shims to do the valve lash adjustment?

yes, they are also found in some motorcycle engines. Yamaha and Kawasaki, not sure which models, I'll let others fill in the details.

I am getting ready to do the 60K and am trying to have everything at hand. I was hoping that there was a kit or something on the market that would fill any shim size needs during the adjustment?

That trade sounds worthwhile when I get to the point of knowing what sizes I need.
