Since I have never seen a SHO head with a valve guide issue, I really want to hear the story...

Well lets see!

Two weeks ago car running just fine. Then i here what seems to be rod bearing knock.Well i would just pull the motor since i had a forged 3.0 begging to be put in.So im swapping heads over.and find a peace of metal weld to the piston.Couldt figure how it got there.Maybe last time i remove my intake a small washer or bolt fell in the intake. So i get the engine up and running.Fews days its starts to smoke. No big deal just valve seals on num 4.So doing valve seal one was missing the guild no where the seal to sit onto. And there was the answer to the found metal from before. So do i have to pull the head or can i just install from top. There was no rubber left on the old seal.So it was just dumping oil on the piston.

I have done valve guides before. The tools needed are in the 60K kit.

Just had time to take a peak while workn today. What turn up was a little better news. The guide is still in tack. Just drop down out of the guide hole.Im think i can go in tru intake port and force it up.If it was that loose to fall out.:munch:

Thanks for the reply!

Well for any who had a guide to drop.Got it back buy bending a screw driver like a hook and going tru the intake holes and pulling it back up.Yes with a vise grip and a hammer a couple of good hits. Now to keep it up(tight as **** now)took a really sharp punch and scored it up.So now i dont:hail: have to remove the head
