My 1998 with 32K has developed a miss that is noticable when maintaining constant speed between 35 to 45 mph in 4th and torque converter is locked. I don't notice any miss when decelerating or accelerating. I am still getting 22mpg in stop & go traffic and highway mixed 60-40. On my older cars I would be suspecting a problem with the carbs. Not sure where to go with all the electronics and fuel injection. I ran a whole bottle of redline fuel injected cleaner in one tank and still have the miss. I don't think I am down on power since I can still burn rubber out of the hole and did verify that the speedo goes to zero at over 110mph. I have noticed that I have to crank the engine a little longer to start when comparing to my 1991 SHO. It does seem low on power compared to my 1991 SHO, but that was expected. I don't have any codes nor has the check engine light gone on. Any ideas?

Thanks.

from what I know, the coil on plug design will cause a miss if the coil has gone out, so that may be one thing to check. You're better off posting in the Gen III section for the answer you seek.

Definately a bad coil. Probably on the back. I've test the temps back there and under the surge tank it will reach +200F regularly.

Get 4 new coils from the cheapest place you can find and replace all the back ones. Might as well put in new plugs too.
