I`m going to run a radar detector direct from the maplight power. What colors do i tap into for power and ground,i seem to only remember 2 green wires, although it`s been a while since i`ve been into it. shrug

I could be wrong, but I think the metal plates that the bulbs are mounted to act as the ground. I say this because when I've taken the screws out to take the overhead console down, the map lights would go out once the metal-to-metal contact was broken. So I think you are correct when you say you only remember two green wires. I hope I'm making sense.

I beleive you are right about the ground being connected to the bracket itself.I would *think* the 2 green wires are both power, but the green kinda throws me off.

Why not use the moon roof power as it is switched by the ignition?

Sorry Paul, that`s what i meant, power from the maplight/moonroof switch assembly.I di need it key switched so it will turn off with the ignition. The purpose it to have the detector to go on/off with the car.I think i got it all figured out.
