I have a 92 MTX. The struts are blown and needs springs and other stuff. So im gonna start replacing and upgrading. I want a street car that handles decently on a track. I dont might a little bit of a rough ride as long as its sporty and not like a civic with $80 coilovers. So im gonna start with the rear but the springs ill buy as a set and then want struts that work with them. Any ideas? and then what else? i heard sway bars are a big deal on these cars. Any links to some good threads?

In addition to springs and shocks, I'd recommend installing a set of sub-frame connectors. They really help the rigidity of the body and make the car feel "shorter" and tighter. This really improves how the SHO feels on the road. :salute:

at least do subframe bushings and radius arm bushings while you are at it. or the Gen3 subframe swap is even better yet.

There areTokico HB5003's on Ebay for sale. Seems the seller has a good supply of them. These are for the rears.

everyone has a different idea of what is best. I do not like SensaTrac shocks - I find them too soft on small bumps and then they randomly stiffen up a lot on bigger bumps. I just don't think they are a good match for the SHO. even though they don't last very long, I much prefer the ride of the KYB shocks on a SHO.

Agree on the Monroes. What about Motorcraft struts? They're made by Sach's, right?

Too bad the selection of springs and struts for our cars are shrinking. I have uncut Intrax/Koni's on mine and really enjoy them. I would definitely recommend sub frame connectors and a large rear sway-bar. You can then mess with the front bar to fit your driving style. I have the smallest front bar (21mm I think). It has been been very stable for me, although some have said it makes their car too tail happy.

Station wagon shock absorbers. Must've sold them. Wait a day or two and the same seller might put up another pair of 5003's.
