I got yet another quick question. The AC system on my 93 doesn't work. That's not that big of a deal since it's wintertime. So every time I go to click on the defroster, the cooling fans blow at full speed. I'm guessing because with defrost, the ETC turns on AC to dry the air. Since ik that the 3.2 has two fans, and that I'm guessing the smaller fan is the condenser fan, can I just unplug the smaller fan? The fan being on causes my car to warm up slower in the morning, and I already have a short commute. So the warmer I can get the car, the better. Thanks again guys. And on a side note, Happy almost Thanksgiving!

the two fans are wired in parallel. they should not be running at high speed unless the fan was running at low speed when the a/c was attempted to be turned on. the a/c commands low fan speed if the fan is not otherwise needed for cooling at that moment.

that suggests either something is wired wrong, or the ccrm is bad, or the pcm is sick. I would do some checking with a probe to see what is up.

So since that they are wired in parallel, that means if I unplug the smaller fan the larger one work either? If so than I have to figure out what the problem is. Awhile ago I had to have the ccrm and it's connector replaced. Maybe the junkyard ccrm is bad? If it makes any difference it seems like anytime the climate control is turned on, the cooling fan turns on. Even if it's set to 90 and just regular vent mode.

no, you can unplug the one fan and the other will still operate.

I would double-check to make sure they wired the new connector properly - it sounds like they might have crossed up a couple wires which makes the fans run all the time.

and, is it the right ccrm? there is a letter code on the ccrm, e.g. "M" or "J", you must use the same code ccrm as originally was on the car as they are wired differently internally.
