Hey....Blizzard's comin in CT.
Didn't know where to post this, but does anyone here drive their SHO in the snow? What tires are suggested? (Currently Dunlop Sport 5000's mounted on stock 16" slicers.) I don't want to burn any cheap tires off the car when I hit the highway. I've heard Dunlop Winter M2/M3's are good, but they are a bit pricey for tires that I will only use for three months and only get three seasons out of.

Be honest....
Am I screwed for the winter? eek!

Bro, don't worry about, the SHO handles great in the snow. It's the driver that you need to worry about.

Tires do play a huge role. If you want the best, get Nokian Hakkapallitas. They are awesome. If you just want to get some cheap but good ones, get Cooper Wintermaster. You should be able to get a set for $75 each. The Nokians are more like $125 each. Get all four, not just two.

If you're not used to driving in the wintertime, I would highly suggest going to a large empty parking lot the next time it snows, and practice. Get a feel for understeer/oversteer. Understeer is most often what will happen with our SHOs, but it is the easiest to handle. Just don't drive too fast. As for oversteer, that is a little harder to handle in the snow, you have to countersteer, BUT NOT TOO MUCH!!! If you over-correct, you will going into another skid (oversteer) going the other way, which will most likely make you spin out. Not good.

So, to be honest, no you're not screwed, just be safe and drive more carefully than normal. burnout
