Two Questions??? Need answers!!

Hey I have two questions one of great importance and the other is a curiosity question. First thing is what needs to be done to replace a starter on a 91 MTX and where is the starter located. Second question is, is it possible to make an ATX a 5-speed and what would you need to do? I have a
MTX that has alot of miles on it and an ATX that I would love to have it a stick so if you guys could answer my questions it would be great. You can either PM me or just reply on this forum.

The 91 starter is on the lower front part of the motor, closer to the driver's side just behind the front portion of the subframe. It's located directly under (almost) the oil filter. If you change your own oil, you drip oil on it every time.

It is possible to convert an ATX to MTX though it requires a lot of interior modification as well as the obvious mechanical changes. Jose (rktmn) did it on his car with lovely results. You might consider searching out his posts so you can see how he did it.

Cheaper to just pick you up a 93-95 ATX in good condition. I looked into going the other way after my ATX went out.

I would swap the 3.2 from the atx into the mtx...
