OK, so I decided to fix my A/C, after 7 years, and convert it to R134. First, it does blow cold but seems to have pretty weak air flow from the vents. Blower motor seems to be spinning just fine! Any ideas?

Second, coolant temp guage is getting up to the N when running A/C at HW speeds! In stop and go it does just fine (on the R). I can't figure this one out. If it were a fan clutch type engine I would say the fan clutch is getting weak. However, I do have a little POS 2300cfm aftermarket fan assem. Again, any ideas?

The fans are supposed to turn on when you turn the A/C on, to counteract the condenser warming up the air before it gets to the radiator. Make sure that's happening. If the fans aren't turning on with the AC, the car will get hot in a hurry.

As far as lack of air flow goes, make sure your evaporator core isn't icing up.

If your evaporator core was the source of the original ac leak, sometimes what happens is the oil stick to the fins and dust / dirt and crud stick to the evap core restricting air flow.

the rad fan is supposed to turn off at a certain speed, 20-30km/hr + IIRC. Weird how it would get hotter while driving but not in stop and go... normally its the other way around.

OK, so I noticed the compressor seemed to be resonating a little more (in the cabin) than I like, however I do have soild subframe bushings and reinforced ENGINE mounts. So, I decided to add some oil to the a/c system since I didn't add any when I recharged it. Since then the a/c pressures have dropped considerably, blowing colder, compressor is not resonating as much (in the cabin) and the engine temp has not gone above the R in stop/go and HW speeds!

Only thing I can think is the compressor was producing more heat due to lack of ****? Any other ideas?
