Hey guys, I'm going to be in the market for a laptop and a Tweecer tuning package but I don't really understand the difference between the Tweecer and the Tweecer RT. All descriptions I've read are along the lines of:

"Our Real Time model gives you the same fantastic tuning capabilities of the base TwEECer with the added ability to see how the EEC responds to your tuning changes"

What exactly do they mean by the ability to see how the EEC responds to the changes? To me sounds as if you can tune the car with the RT model AND monitor the car's functions as you drive it after the tuning. Is that what the difference is? Is that the only difference between the two models? I'm just trying to decide if it's worth the extra couple hundred for the RT model.

I guess I would like to be able to take the car out for a drive, log the short trip with the Tweecer and laptop and go back and look for knock and any other important things. Do either of the models allow for this?

I realize it would be a good idea to ask Tweecer this directly, but I figure there are a few of you guys on here that may be fairly familiar with these units and wouldn't mind getting me a respons much faster than I'd probably get from Tweecer. So thanks for your input guys!

RT=real time. You can datalog with the RT and view your changes in real time. Unless you have another datalogger, get the RT. The base TwEECer isn't very useful by itself.

This is what it means by being able to see how the car reacts to the changes.

And if you have other programs, you can use that data to find out more data.

Hey I really appreciate your replies guys! And thanks for the cool screenshots Jason. So the Tweecer RT it is. Now I'm going to have to keep my eye open until one goes for cheap!

Thanks again,
Andrew
