I was wondering if It is possible to program a computer, and then remove the tweecer. In other words, will the new settings be "burned into the computer" itself? Can I remove the "chip" and the program will remain in the computer. Sorry for all the questions, but I want to know if I can tune both my SHO's, and possibly other EEC-4's. Thanks in advance! :hail:

Nope, the "chip" has to stay attached to the ECM. So that means you need 1 TwEECer per car. I confirmed this with SHOnut for my dual engined SHO project.

You can save a few dollars by buying 1 TwEECer R/T and use that to tune all the cars then buy TwEECer base models for the other cars and just download the settings from the R/T. That's what I'm doing.

I was interested in the tweecer for my '92. Are you saying that the computer you are programing with, must stay permanently attached, or it will revert back to the OEM chip setting? Wouldn't that become a royal pain after awhile, traveling with computer?

No, the TwEECer itself must remain installed, or the car will go back to factory settings. The computer only has to be in the car when datalogging.
