Forgive me if this is been discussed already.

I am considering an Unleashed tune on my 2015 SHO. It has about 22,000 miles on it now. However, I drive about 24,000 miles a year, so the mileage will rack up quick over the next few years.

Has anyone put an extended amount of miles on their tuned SHO? Based on all the research I've done on this forum, I realize that the tunes are pretty reliable. I'm just wondering if there are any experiences with longevity over extended miles.

It's an issue for me with this consideration, as I fully expect to be walking away from my powertrain warranty if I go through with this.

Thanks

My car was at 108K miles when I got it tuned last June. I'm almost to 129K now, I use livernois 93 octane 4x tune. Not a single issue other than I might be going thru tires slightly quicker now. As long as you keep on maintenance you should be fine.

I have around 30,000 miles on my Livernois tune - granted, not a lot - but based on how smoothly and effortlessly it runs, I see no reason to worry about longevity.

I agree with Ridered75. Keep up on the maintenance. I would use full synthetic oil in the engine and change the PTU **** and ATF annually. Also, use the highest quality premium fuel that is available in your area.

I have 77k miles and been using unleashed for about 20k with no issues. Recently added downpipes and that hasn't effected drive ability at all. They really act like stock cars until you don't want them to. You will be mad u didn't do it sooner

My 2010 has been running a tune since it's infancy. Around a scant 3,ooo miles. I now have 73k on the clock.

Daily driven (up until recently thanks to the purchase of two used cars about a month ago) road coursed, drag stripped repeatedly, and umm yea.....

No problems to report.

My car has more or less been DD in the summer with a tune without issues. Granted, I've only put about 6k miles so it's not very many. I doubt it will have much of an effect on the long term engine wear.

I'm not trying to knock your car as it's awesome and an inspiration so don't take this that way. You car really isn't a good data point for what the OP's after. Yes you've been tuned for a long time but the internals of your engine are far from stock and have also been upgraded. When viewed with all the other internal upgrades you have it doesn't provide much data for reliability of a stock engine + tune. Again, I'm not trying to knock anything about your car. Simply stating that you're so far above us lowly peasants that your car no longer represents normal.

I understand completely and no offense taken.

Actually, I was thinking about that very same thing after I posted.

To be clear, I had my upgraded engine built by Livernois installed just before 60k.

But for the duration between 3K and 60k, I had no problems at all with the stock motor being tuned.

Likewise, from 60k to current, it also has been tuned on the built engine and I also have had no problems.
