Trunk Latch

I need to remove the trunk latch from my car. There is a black cable that enters the latch from the side. My questions is...do I disconnect the cable at the latch, or at the other end of the cable?

You can disconnect it at the latch itself.Unbolt the latch so you can get some movement to access the connection.Give me a mail,and i`ll call you if need be Paul.Btw,i should be in Onteonta the last day of this moth if you`re around.It`s been a LONG time.
