Transmission probs....

My boyfriend has a 1994 3.2 SHO, automatic transmission, and we let it sit for a while- and when he went to drive it, the transmission was shifting really late and really hard. It's kind of like it's starting in 2nd gear. He has no power at all and the car acts like it doesn't want to go anywhere. It has plenty of fluid and all that... Anyone have any ideas?

Your VSS is bad. Try to shift it manually, all the gears feel solid? If so, then
the VSS is bad. (most likely, anyway) The bad news is that it's a biotch to get to. The good news is that he can change the sub-frame bushings while
he has it lowered to get at it.
Oh, does it act like it won't downshift? like you floor it and it just kinda groans? VSS..
