Anyone know which one is the drain plug. I see two bolts that could possible be the drain plug but I'm not sure which one it is.....

Any input?

Already prepping for the tranny fluid change huh? You know, Fords never shift right once you drain the fluid and refill it back up bud. Be prepared for it to stop working soon.

:laugh_ti: J/K! Can't say I looked around for one when I did my oil change recently. Are you able to send some pics to us on here and let us give ya an idea?

I'm at work, cant take a picture here, but I know it's one of the two. Problem is they both look the same.

Just going to change to synthetic, try to keep temps down.

I believe the 6f55 already has a full synthetic in it. It's also designed to run a little "hotter" to save some gas. There was a press release from Ford a while back that explained it but I can't seem to find it.

I could only find this: https://docs.google.com/viewer?url=http://media.ford.com/images/10031/EcoBoost_6F55.pdf

I thought all new Ford automatics were "sealed" and supposed to last 150k w/o any maintenance? I know at least some of them are and the only way to change the fluid is to pump it through the trans cooler lines. I'm not exaclty sure o nthe 6F55 though.

Reminds me of 90's late 80's jetta trannys.. Two bolts that could be it. Most of them had a messed up reverse gear from people taking out the wrong one. It held the reverse gear arm. Such a stupid setup..
