I have a 2010 SHO and when I'm driving a at low speeds like stop and go or in a parking lot it jerks, not hard, more like the car is trying to figure out which gear it wants to be in. Anyone else have this problem? I have 42k miles, no PP, no other issues. Thanks.

I think there is a TSB for this shop giay nam. Try searching the forum and you might find it. I have a 2010 and so far never experienced the problem.

I had this issue along with an occasional feeling like the car delayed downshifting, then when it did, it was like a neutral drop. That usually happened during a rolling stop, such as when I was slowing for a stop light which turned green just as I got to it. I'd step on the gas to proceed, there would be no power, followed by a very harsh engagement (usually chirping the tires).

The dealer performed a couple of TSBs, one for the valve body and one to flash the PCM. That was probably 6 months ago or more and I've never had another occurrence.

That is similar to what is happening to me, no chirping but the rolling stop neutral drop is right on it

That should fall under the drivetrain warranty which runs longer than the bumper-to-bumper warranty so hopefully you're still covered. I think it's like 4 years and 48k miles.

Definitely falls under powertrain and it's 6/60k.

I'm gonna take it and get it checked out this weekend, hopefully the powertrain warranty will cover the TSB work. I'll post the results. Thanks for all the help guys.

Yeah, the TSB listed above should help you. I had this on my '11, and the worst part was it would happen to me when I'd go to cross 2 lanes of 45mph traffic; so you'd start creeping out, then realize you may get T-boned because the car's not accelerating, then WHAM into a lower gear and shoot off...not fun. After I took it in last year I never had this issue again.

This happens to my 2010 about every other week, I've taken it to the dealer twice with the TSB info and they can never duplicate it and won't fix it. Last time in they kept my car for a week putting almost 300 miles on it.

Are there any other dealers nearby? It sounds like it's time for you to find another dealer that will address the issue out of concern for your safety. If no nearby dealers, maybe you should call Ford Customer Service directly.

If you're experiencing the same thing I was, I'd definitely say this is a safety issue that needs to be fixed. And I can also say since the TSBs were performed on my car I've not experienced any further instances since.

I have a great dealer, usually, but I got the same response when I had the tranny problem. So I threatened to take my business elsewhere and they relented. They did the work and I have not had the problem again. It really blows that Ford has implemented this order that the problem must be duplicated by the shop.

I am not convinced that what Jeremiah is describing is related to the transmission TSB. My experience with that TSB is that their is a fairly violent "clunking" when manually downshifting from 2nd to 1st gear. I thought I ran over a curb.

I have experienced a jerking type event when I have the transmission in manual, i'm in first gear, and I give it a burst of gas and then quickly let off the pedal. As I try to get back on the gas I find myself "behind the curve" and an operator induced oscillation begins. I think the jerking that I have experienced is the engine bouncing back and forth against the engine mounts (just guessing). It is very similar to a rookie driving a stick.

I had the TSB done and it was a significant improvement.

I have a 13 now but I had the same problem with my dealer on my 2011. There is more than one TSB that matched my tranny problem but the one that did most accurately even stated the issue was intermittent.
