Bummer. P1744 on a 1999 SHO.

The trans is whining and every now and then I see fluid leaking. I think it might be tranny overhaul time.

I just inherited this thing. I might just try to sell it as is...................

Sounds like a torque converter issue which is slightly different from a tranny rebuild.

Just put the code you received into Google and you will get a number of remedies.
