TRANNYS and CLOSED HOLES

To Preface my situation the car makes 430ish Whp on motor, with the nitrous I've sprayed on it 520ish Whp (on a 75 Shot).

Issue Number ONE
I have an 08 V6 Mustang BBK 70mm throttle body, For some unknown to me reason it seems like the throttle body is either hanging up or losing signal and slamming shut. I'll be cruising at around 2500-2800 Rpm and its like hitting a brick wall. I get the Wrench Icon on the dash and it kills all power and i have to coast to a stop, turn the car off and back on to reset it. I'll get a check engine code for a throttle body issue.

Issue Number TWO
The Trans is not happy and anytime i get on it and it goes to shift from 2nd to 3rd it doesn't shift and kind of over revs a couple hundred RPM and then free spins till I coast for a little ways then it picks up usually in 4th... Has anyone else experienced this? I already know these cars aren't built to handle the WHP its putting out now but, I'm not turning it down anytime soon. Also if i try to Sport Mode "Manually Shift" it from 2 into the 3rd it always just double shifts and bogs.

Issue Number THREE
I am 98% sure the Rear turbo is cooked I have replacement stock turbos just trying to find a shop i trust to install the turbskis and all the lines. Yes i could do it myself.....no I don't want to. So I'm praying that the blown turbo has something to do with the trans acting funny, since both problems seemed to originate at the same time. Realistically I'm already planning on paying to install the turbos then paying to either swap or rebuild the trans. Which brings me to my next point is there ANY upgrade parts i can throw at the trans to help it stay together a litttttle longer then it normally would. I know there was talk of a company that made some test parts for some of the internals but hadn't seen anything regarding them going to production with anything yet.

Interesting about the BBk TB. This isn’t the first time I’ve heard of someone having an issue. Isn’t there a mod that you need to perform, drilling a hole or something? Is this the same BBK Ortiz sells? I have one waiting to go on my car from Ortiz and I still need to modify it. @Ecoboost_xsport what do we need to do to it again?

Literally the only thing that can be done “initially” to make the trans last longer is excessive drain and fills. Like 1-2k mile intervals, and an extra one the day before you head to the track. Sounds like you could have a worn out valve body. Recently I’ve been learning more about the trans and you could potentially just need a new or rebuilt valve body, which can be swapped out in the car. Otherwise if you pull your trans out, be ready to rebuild it or, have a low mileage JY trans to put in it, they are around 4-600 bucks. Soon I’ll be reopening my JY trans to replace the trans filter. I thought it looked complicated until I saw a video of it being replaced. 3 bolts and the pump comes off with it, replace and reinstall pump with 3 bolts….actually super simple lol! If I were you, I’d get a replacement valve body and cycle a bunch of trans fluid through it. Nothing from Raybestos yet. Sadly maybe never.

Is the rear turbo leaking oil? WGDC% up and not maintaining commander boost? What makes you think it’s your rear turbo?

I love the pics and now that there’s no doubt you sent it down a drag strip, how did it do? Drag pics with no time is like foreplay with no ******!

yeah so after a bunch of back and forth debates with myself about drilling the weep hole i decided against it, and i had no issues up until now. And the reason i think the rear turbo is gone is all my crankcase vents are just venting to atmosphere and i still have a disgusting amount of oil in the charge pipes. i am gonna replace turbos and drain the oil out. So playing with the car this weekend i realized if i leave the my shitbox in Drive it'll shift through the gears, it doesnt seem the happiest but it works. So im thinking maybe the 2 to 3 and 3 to 4 shifts maybe wigging out because of a tune issue. Thank you for the info on the internal trans stuff, these first time experiments/attempts on doing something new is what keeps me interested in this car and this platform. I'd like to think that i have done some things that most wouldnt but you and dadmobile and jordan are the main pioneers for all the high horsepower Sho's so i applaud you sir. On the throttle body thing i did find a guy on Ebay that was porting TB's for our cars and it was waay bigger then the bbk one and he was using a factory unit. Thats what im going to change too here in the next couple weeks. Also My car loves nitrous...... just saying if you are getting to the point you are running out of air and fuel options *whispers* WEEEEETTTTT SHOOOOOTTT lol once i get my turbskis on Ortiz is gonna line out my tune for the spray, mainly pull some timing once the base tune with my mods is set up.
