Tranny Fluid

How hard is it to change the tranny fluid on a ATX. And also the filter. I have put over 20k on my car and have not changed the fluid. I dont know if the person before me ever changed it. I think its a orignall tranny with 120k so I think I should change it. WHat you guys thing?

Easy
unbolt the pan, let the fluid splash out. There is a lot too. Filter is right there to swap out. Beware; the trans might shift adversely after 120K with orginal fluid. Is it acting up now?

Take it to a tranny shop and have a flush done, that's the easiest way. It may sound expensive(under $100) but the oil is worth atleast $30 and the flushing/cleaning chemical is another $25. You may have to tell them to replace the filter as they usually dont.

30k miles is a good interval for a tranny flush.

I think every 30K is too much, I change mine every 14-15K miles w/ Mobil ATF.
