Trailer-hitching........

That's what the owner of a local repair shop called the jerking motion I've been experiencing with the SHO. Light throttle, off then back on it. If you've ever towed a trailer, you know what I'm refering to. I've been throught the fuel system, entire ignition system, motor mounts, subframe bushings...on and on...with no relief. Am I beating my head against the wall? Is this just a normal SHO idiosyncrasy? Could I be experiencing an ECM problem?

It is not a normal condition. There is something that has more play than it should. You may want to have your throttle position sensor (TPS)checked for continuity at AutoZone. It may be a good idea to install a new Wells TPS215 for $18.99 from that store. The only complexity in the replacement of this sensor is not stripping the screws.

It could also be a IAB sensor that needs a cleaning or replacement. IAB sensor affects steady throttle driving.

Scott, the TPS was just recently replaced...I've ohmmed both it and the old one. No flat spots. Currently the voltage reads 1.0v at idle.
Doug, the IAB also was recently replaced, and re-cleaned this last weekend. No change whatsoever in performance. Idle reset program per Scott performed.

Idle is steady, never any stalling. Vacuum around 19-20" at idle, also steady. Could there be timing fluctuation occuring?

Back off on the voltage a bit. The computer has to see below 1.0V for it to idle.

Try running it around .95vDC
