Tow Package Does Not Fit

Went to install Curt Mfg part # 122320 and it says it fits 89-07 taurus
1st step says "remove hold downs and give to owner"
If I could remove hold downs my bumper would not be able to reattach to rear frame because hold down have bolt holes through them that attach rear bumper to frame.
Tried to mount leaving hold downs in place but tow hitch hits them and bolt holes wont mount
Thank god for rockauto full return with freight

At least you were able to return it. Good to know for people who went to install a hitch!

I have a Hidden hitch, class II on my SHO. Fits nicely, and IIRC I only had to cut the right exhaust hanger in half.

I could of grinded on the hold down/bumper mounting brackets and made it fit but rockauto was only willing to knock 10% off the price and for that I was not willing to do it.

Most hitches will say "except SHO" in the application guide.

Its due to the dual exhaust and the lower bumper cover.

It would of fit except the hold down bracket were not removable and the bumper was held on by them

Any one know a good class II hitch that they know will fit a 1993 SHO ATX?
