Where Can I Find A New Torque Converter?
The Only One I've Found Was 450.00 At Sho Source.
Too Steep On A Hunch That It Will Fix P1744.
If I Put A New One In And It Doesn't Fix It Can I Use It In My New Trans?
I Had A Problem With Fluid Overheating And I Found One Rubber Cooler Line Smashed In The Subframe, When I Installed My Cooler.
I Bought And X-3 From Paul And It Will Lock Great Up To 65mph But Any Higher Than That It Unlocked Abruptly.
I'm A Tech With Air Tools And A Lift So If I Put A New Converter In And It Doesn't Work It's Only A Little Time Lost In The Hopes Of Saving A Bunch Of Cash.
The Trans Has About 60k On A Ford Reman The Previous Owner Installed, All Other Functions Are Normal.
Any Thoughts Other Than The Converter?

Have you ever once in your life typed without the caps lock on? Your entire post was in caps. Your name is in caps. I looked at your profile, and every single form on there that was possible to type caps in, was typed in caps. Unbelievable. Have you ever heard of a thing called Netiquette? :shakehead

Easy fella. It is just the start of the words... No harm done.

You can get a converter for around 200.... If you need a hand, PM me.

I can get you a wicked upgraded converter for ~ $500.00 plus shipping from a guy who worked with me on the SHO R T S tranny project. Stock should be less than half of that.

Sorry I don't want to shout at anyone. I'm the laziest typer in the world. I would rather see it like that, much easier for us old folks to read. That's why they make huge remotes right? lol
The fluid is absolutely clean and there isn't any metal in the pan at all. So I'm hoping that the conv just got overheated and killed it. It locks up normally for about 30 minutes of driving then goes stupid after that. I'm not really a trans expert so any help would be appreciated. I'm probably willing to gamble with 200 bucks and see if it fixes it. A Jasper reman would include another converter anyway, not cheap but comes with a 100k warranty.

try making a post entirely in caps. See what happens. This Happens Because The Forum Automatically Makes It This Way So You Don't Have To Read THREE PARAGRAPHS OF SHOUTING AND YELLING.

Anyway.

I'd rather me be sensitive than my cams.

I'll take on any NA ATX V6 and have never had a problem with any cams on the 4 motors I've accumulated.
