I suppose this is a long time coming and should have been done a lot sooner. My apologies for not doing this until now.
Toolman,
I ended up brokering a deal with Tim to get Sam's dad's blue 94 MTX and picked it up Labor Day weekend. He answered every question and was very thorough on the car with pics and explanations of what he saw prior to my flying down to pick up the car.
I flew into Tulsa, and Toolman drove down to pick me up. Went to a pretty cool place for lunch, then we got things done to get the notary and title stuff done. Went back to his place hung out for a little bit, then got to finding a good set of tires for me to get home on, he looked over the brakes and suspension and made sure all was good to get me home, 800 miles away. He threw in a lot of nice spare parts for me to take home.
He gave me an option of all his black interior pieces vs. a set of gen 3 front mocha seats. He purchased a replacement steering wheel, a mocha with/a nice black wheelskins cover on it and had it sent to me. He arranged for all of the black interior pieces to be delivered to the St.Louis bbq, shipped me 2 packages at his expense (I have offered to pay for the shipping), with some remaining items for this car, with 1 left to go. Thank you so much, Tim, it was a pleasure doing business with you and would do so again.
Trainguy89,
Drove down to Tim's from Kansas City, to Tulsa to pick up all of the black interior pieces from Tim, and drove home, repacked the black pieces in another vehicle and delivered them to me at the St.Louis bbq. Thank you, David, it is appreciated, of your time and money to do that.
St. Louis Crew,
Thank you for being a depository for the parts to go to Toolman, a trans and a back seat. And they (Dave) hosted a fabulous bbq and great food, I know that was not cheap. I just couldn't stay long, as I have a lot on my plate with school and working full time. James loaded up some wheels for Jayro in my car, and during the bbq, DVP made a special trip back home to get a part for me that we had discussed in PM's. Thank you all, again!!
I appreciate all that this community does for others. Truly a place of great people. I know a lot of awesome stuff gets done for others and may not be widely known. Thank you again...
