gonna have these on, should be fun. they are r6 but the car will be co-driven by my father. Im dragging him out and making him drive my car ....only way to get some heat into them.... not an a6 but should be sticky as ****. will be my first expirence with a real tire. Cant WAIT!!!!

going to sjr scca event and they are not a big group. and there is only a few guys on r comps!. Im shooting for FTD for the whole day. north jersey scca is much more serious with half of dozen pro guys and deep pockets. next weekend w north jersery will be fun. can be competive in my class now and try to beat this pesky r comp'd rx7 with an expirenced driver and a cool lotus elise on a a6's! fun fun fun!!!

Im just going to go ahead and say it, your going to get outran by guys on star-specs and re-11's. Unless you guys have a incredibly long course set up, heating the R6 up is going to be a real chore, especially in this cooler weather.

But, either way...good luck and pay close attention to your tire pressures.

Agreed. Unless you have some tire warmers, or a slalom course nearby to heat em up right before you run, I forsee you spinning on the first corner.

I agree its going to be hard to get the heat into them they need. Last month I did a track event on them and the first 3 laps I was sideways 5 times a lap. Someone said aren't those SHO's fwd? Once I got heat into them they were fine. Now if I was off the track for say 20 min it took one good warm up lap at almost 2 miles to get them sticky again. This was around 50f outside.

Yep, agree here as well. Even on hot days my Hoosiers needed a lap well under 10/10ths to get warmed up.

It's too bad. I'm heading down to Staten Island tomorrow afternoon. I would've loved to have joined up. I wonder if my TSW wheels would fit on the Vette. I have them on my V, 18x9.5". I know your rears can fit on mine with a very small spacer...

Fronts are 17x8.5 and 18x 10.5. U can ran 18 all around which I am doing in the future. Have 2 more 18 for this! depends on the offset really of those tsw.

obviosuly the first runs will stink but i think the last 2 of 4 runs should be good. idk i think a moderatly warm tire will be better the toyo t1r ive been running on. im not expecting a6 grip but better stick than wat i got now!! and im gonna try to get heat anyway possible even if it means trying to get consecutive runs in lol.

Well verdict is out. They may not be as sticky as they could be but they stick Damn good. This is awesome. They get hot enough to have fun and better than any street tire. 4 more runs left time to break 60 second mark. Goin for 58.

Unfortunately there a a6 lotus with a **** of a driver (placed 4thed at nationals) he at 55.9. Hoping for 2 fastest time of the day :l lol

Tiny course.

You would hate some of the courses I run. On more then 3-4 events out of the year, we run on 35-45 second Courses. Believe it or not, its on the courses where my SHO on the C71's makes its strongest showing.

I'd still be willing to bet that a Set of Star specs / Re-11's / RS-3's would be quicker Initially then a R6 on a Auto-X course.
