A Tokico Testimonial...
I had rolled over 150,000 miles on my original set of Tokico struts when I found, during a brake job, that the shaft seal on the right rear strut had a small leak. It had not leaked enough to affect the behavior of the strut, but I called Tokico due to their lifetime warranty (I love lifetime warranties). The customer service representative that I spoke with was very kind and suggested they replace the two rear struts to not create an unbalanced condition. After I told her how many miles were on the car and the struts, she offered to send me a complete set of four as long as I would ship the old set back in the packing boxes. They wanted to see what they looked like after 150,000 miles of real road use.
That wasn't the best part. When I installed the new struts and took the car out for its first drive with the "tight, new dampers," I could not tell a difference from the "old" set. None. Nada. Zilch. Zip. The performance of the struts had not noticeably decreased after 150,000 miles of use. The set on my car now "only" has about 75,000 miles on them and I consider them quite young. I hope they make it to the end of the car's existence - which I hope is after I hand it down to my 5.5 year old daughter. "Daddy, your car goes VRRRROOOOOM!"
