Also, in the convention info. they give you the requirements of the tires you must have to get out on the track.

If you are looking for new ones, besides doing a search like Adam suggested, also look on the Tire Rack website. They will give you ratings and more...

BRB Racing prefers the Sumitomo HTR ZII's from Tirereck on street in summer and track.
Schultz Racing, I think in Walworth, turned me on to them, unless you mean full track tire like Hoosier.
Hyjack: Kris, You & Andy e mail me a $# for the Tokicos.

The best bet for running on the street and on the track, while using the same tire on the street and on the track, would be a good summer only tire. As SHOCH mentioned. These will hold up better to the rigors of on track duty, while the all season tires will tend to "chunk" along the edges, otherwise trashing them in short order. You can find good and cheap summer only tires at Tire Rack, Edge Racing, Discount tires ect...But you know that. SHOCH has had good results with the Sumiomo HTR ZII's, and I have had great results with the long discontinued Yokohama A520's, which have become the rain tires since I have started using dedicated track tires. But all the other Brand MFG's have good offerings as well.
As mentioned research is your best source on this subject. Happy hunting.

I have gone through that stuff. I wanted to know info from people that I know and trust. I have read stuff over and over, but I trust you guys, that is why I ask.

Anyways, I have these. They only have about 3K on them.

BUt I was thinking of maybe getting these

(I get tires at %3 over cost.. so tires are really cheap for me)

Potenza RE960AS Pole Position - you will most likely chew up the outer edge of these tires. Save these fot everyday use as 400 tread wear is pretty hard and not so stickey.

Potenza RE-01R - these how ever should hold up quite nice for track events. the outer shoulder tread is wider and can take more abuse. Plus at a 140 tread wear, they should stick pretty good.
