Went to the stealership recently for tires, was there because had the rear end replaced under warranty (totally different story) Had to get new tires, well these geniuses told my wife that she couldnt just replace one tire or two tires, it basically had to be all four or two on the front or two on the rear. Me and my knowledge says theyre full of shhhh.. but thats just me or am I the one thats wrong? Any help is appreciated

Believe it or not, they are correct. All four should be replaced so you can rotate them. Should be good to just replace 2 front or 2 rears. The only bad thing owning a AWD car.

if the tread is worn more than 2/32" then you cannot just replace one or two, you need them all replaced. on all wheel drive vehicles it is critical that all the tires have the same rolling radius to avoid damaging the all wheel drive system.

You might not have a choice but consider this option. Check around some places offer buy three get one. I see Ohio but not sure which part. Our local dealer has the buy three get fourth for $1 but would require a trip to Pittsburgh area (airport area) Whatever you decide I would strongly recommend a four wheel alignment immediately after.
