Just got back from local Ford dealer for 15000 mile service. Have owned my 2010 SHO for 3 weeks now, and love it more every day.
Service tech found a plug on one of the 20 inch Michelins right near where the sidewall starts. Said it was starting to bulge and recommended replacing the tire. Called my car buyer, who had bought it from another dealer in another state, to see if there was any recourse for selling tire with ill-advised repair. Too late, they said, not able to complain after 2 weeks. So, called my mechanic neighbor to try to find a replacement tire. Found one on-line, will cost roughly 300.00 installed.
I checked a national auction site and found a Michelin, nearly new, for 169.00 including shipping. It is slightly used. I've bought a lot of things on the auction site, but never a tire. Looking to see if anyone has experience buying a slightly used tire. Welcome comments and advice.
