Timing on a 3.2l ATX

I have never attempted to time this thing. Is all I have to do is make sure that the dots on the pulleys and the marks in the sheet metal line up? Is that the big thing about timing? Thanks for any help.

thats pretty much it, as long as you got all the marks lined up and you make sure they stay aligned while you put the belt on. you should change your CPS while youre in there if you havent already done it.
